Simpler Multicloud Connectivity: One Port, Many Clouds

The Multicloud Tangle

Most multicloud networks grow by accident: a direct connect here, a VPN tunnel there, an ExpressRoute ordered in a hurry for one migration. Each works alone; together they form a tangle of inconsistent latency, overlapping routes and surprise egress bills.

There is a cleaner pattern: one high-capacity port at the edge, with isolated virtual circuits to each cloud.

One Port, Many Circuits

A single 10G or 100G on-ramp at Lumenrack can carry separate virtual circuits to every cloud you run — production isolated from staging, backup traffic shaped away from real-time workloads. Add a cloud by provisioning a circuit, not by building new connectivity.

Why It Stays Fast

Because the port sits meters from your racks and on the same fabric as 60+ carriers, cloud-bound traffic skips the public internet entirely. Round-trip times stay low and, just as importantly, stay consistent — the variance that breaks real-time applications disappears.

What It Costs Less Than

Compare one port plus circuits against parallel dedicated builds per cloud, each with its own router footprint and maintenance. Most customers cut both capex and operational toil, while gaining the freedom to move workloads between clouds without re-architecting the network.

Your Next Step

List the clouds you run on and the traffic between them — we will design a one-port layout on our Cloud On-Ramps with room to grow.
